Long Beach Artificial Pet Turf

For over 14 years, Long Beach Pet Turf installers have been helping pet owners solve three huge concerns regarding pets and their yards:

1) Mud: For every dog that owns you, you’re dealing with four sets of paws to clean off every time your pet walks through the door. If you’re done dealing with those low-down dirty dog paws, then read on!

2) Pests, flea, ticks, and mites: Your pets aren’t the only ones being eaten alive by outdoor pests. These pests catch the furry express right through your door and into your house, carpet, bedding, and furniture. Our engineered Artificial Pet Turf greatly reduces outdoor pests.

3) Pesticides, fertilizers, weed killing sprays and other toxins your pet (and family!) are exposed to: Your pets walk on and are exposed to all these toxic substances, then licks his paws, ingesting said toxins. The furry express also enters your home and spreads these same toxins throughout your house. Toxins are not a problem with our premium, lead free and tested synthetic pet turf.

Benefits of Artificial Pet Turf

 Easy Maintenance

When looking to create a space for your pets, you want to ensure that there is minimal maintenance. A pet owner should not have to worry about constantly disinfecting the area. Our domestic pet turf has micro-bacteria protection that keeps mold and odors at bay. Our pet turf is engineered to a specific height to make cleaning up after your pets as easy as possible. And, unlike natural grass, it never requires fertilizer, water, or weeding.

Pet waste is a significant point of concern for pet owners. With artificial turf, cleaning is effortless. You’ll never have to worry about create a mud pit when removing pet waste.

Excellent Landscape Throughout the Year

Having a pet does not mean that you must compromise on the environmental aesthetic. The lawns sometimes get patches that expose the ground when pets and people constantly spend time on a single spot. Artificial turf does not suffer bare spots as it is engineered with material that accommodates weight without wearing out.

Generally, natural grass is greatly affected by drought and the sun. Artificial turf can withstand dry weather conditions and does not require shade to maintain its look. These factors ensure that the turf remains neat, and your yard looks amazing throughout the year.

Money and Time Savings

There will be no need for watering, fertilizing, mowing, or water usage fines. Save on your water bill and your gardener bill.

Allergy-Free Synthetic Pet Turf

Our engineered pet friendly turf is hypoallergenic, making it kid friendly as well. Artificial pet grass decreases the amount of pet hair, pollens, and dirt that natural lawns collect and trap.

Your family can have fun rolling around on your new synthetic pet lawn without having the itchiness that natural lawn can cause.

Reduces the Toxins Carried into the House

Studies show that a great amount of toxins from weed control, fertilizers, and other poisons are brought into the house by children and pets playing on the lawn. These toxins end up on couches and in bedding.

One of the most important factors regarding synthetic pet turf installation is the company you hire to install your turf.

Did you know artificial pet turf drains faster than natural sod?

That’s right, our pet turf drains more than double the rate of other artificial turf, and even more so than natural sod. Real grass doesn’t percolate the water. Instead, the water runs off your lawn into drains or sewers. Even worse, if your yard does not have proper grading, the water sits in puddles in the middle of the lawn.

Artificial turf allows the water to drain downward rather than creating a river.

The drainage rate of regular artificial turf is approximately 30+ inches per hour per square yard. Our Tencate pet turf drains at 60+ inches per hour per square yard. This means no more water or mud puddles for your pet to track into the house.

The drainage rate also allows pet waste to absorb into the ground at a faster rate.

How do I know I'm getting quality synthetic pet turf?

Good question! We only use engineered pet turf made in the U.S.A., and our turf comes with a manufacturer’s 15 year warranty.

Our samples all have the manufacturer’s original product tags on them. We also will supply you with product data sheets showing our turf is engineered specifically to be used as pet turf. You can go right online and do your due diligence with our products. We have nothing to hide!

We want the pile, or the blade height, to be low so cleaning up after your pets is an easy affair, (well, as easy as cleaning up pet poop can get!)

Cleaning messes on regular, long blade grass can be messy. Our pet turf has a 1” pile height so most pet messes will clean up in a snap. The turf can then be lightly watered to finish the job.

Too many installers will provide their customers with a cheap, inexpensive, all around turf and call it pet turf. The turf won’t have the proper drainage or backing.

Second, there are specific infills used for pet turf to control bacteria and odors, Zeolite and Envirofill. Zeolite is a non-toxic, biodegradable infill that neutralizes ammonia based odors.

Next, we use US Greentech’s Envirofill antimicrobial infill. Envirofill will help prevent bacterial growth as well as help prevent mildew and mold, both which can cause stain, odors, and decrease the life of your newly installed pet turf.

Choosing an Artificial Grass Contractor

What is the process of installing artificial pet turf once you call us?

First, one of our consultants will call you and schedule a time that is most convenient. We understand everyone is working harder these days, and we want to make your experience with us as easy as possible.

We will also ask you some preliminary questions about your home, your pets, and your family so we may provide personalized service.

We will then meet with you in a timely manner. It is important for us to view your yard, look at the access, slopes, trees, sprinklers, and planters that may be a hindrance. If you have sprinklers, our installers will cut and cap them at no additional charge. We do recommend cutting and capping the main line at the valve.

If trees or plants need removal, we can discuss that, as well as any design features you may desire, or we may suggest. We really like to “repurpose” and enhance your yard, as opposed to a strictly utilitarian installation.

We also offer hardscape services now such as slab work, fountains, fire pits, roc infill and decomposed granite. We want your yard to be beautiful as well as safe and functional for your pets.

Your artificial turf contractor should have a history of excellence and experience.

Long Beach Pet Turf has a history of excellence for over 14 years. Unlike many turf installers, we started out with a focus on quality synthetic turf installation and built our company as turf specialists. We have the knowledge to answer your questions as well as the unasked questions.

Your turf contractor need to be knowledgeable with the products available on the market.

L.B. Pet Turf installers keeps abreast of the latest changes in the synthetic turf industry. We’ve often brought up products that other artificial turf contractors have never even heard of. We are always stiving to grow and bring our clients the most value for the money.

The size and number of dogs in a home is something we factor into our consultation. One chihuahua will have quite different concerns than two Great Danes!

At L.B. Pet Turf, our reputation and customer service are paramount. We have chosen to carry only domestic made synthetic turf. You are putting your family and pet’s safety in our hands and clients are often shocked when we choose to walk away from a project rather than install an inferior, imported, untested product at a lower price.

Our products are certified tested. Though we have access to a great many products, we are one of the largest installers of Tencate Tiger Turf on the market, including Tencate’s Tiger cool products, which remain 10-15% cooler than other turf yarns.

We thrive on referrals; they are the lifeblood of our business, and we appreciate each client. Though we strive to be perfect, human error sometimes happens. We never leave a job until our client is completely satisfied with their pet turf installation.

We also don’t piecemeal jobs, as many artificial turf contractors do. Once we’re on the job, we stay on your project through completion.

Your turf contractor should follow state law and request the appropriate deposit.

In a nutshell, synthetic turf contractors can only ask for a deposit of 10% up to $1000.00. If a contractor asks you for a 50% deposit -RUN! At Long Beach Pet Turf, we usually only ask for a token deposit to hold your place on our schedule.

The best pet turf installation is performed using permeable backing; meaning the drainage rate is higher than normal turf. The backing on permeable turf is almost always a clear whitish color as opposed to the black backing on standard turf. Hover over the pictures to see the name of the turf.
