Is artificial grass safe for my pets?
Our artificial grass is safe for pets. We can't say the same for all artificial turfs. All our domestic made turf is tested and certified lead and toxin free. Your pets can run and play and roll around in the turf without fear of your pets hurting our pet turf or our pet turf hurting your pet.
How about insects?
We remove the dirt and install a class 2 rock base, so there are no food sources left for bugs to feed on. The bugs also don't like to nest on the synthetic grass, which means no harmful pesticides that can harm your pets or family.
Can my pet poop on the artificial grass?
Of course, but you still have to pick up the poop as regular maintenance Artificial turf doesn't absorb the excrement, and the urine seeps through the permeable backing. Regular hosing off of the urine areas keeps the odor down.
Will pet urine or poop stain synthetic pet turf?
No. Our domestic made pet turf is engineered to prevent staining from urine or excrement. That does not mean you don't have to clean and maintain synthetic pet turf to keep your pet's space clean and odor free. Artificial pet turf won't decompose or die like natural sod.
Do fleas, ticks, or mites nest in artificial grass?
No. The synthetic surface and lack of dirt, debris, and decomposition of plants discourages pests breeding in the synthetic surface. This is another reason not to let your dog's poop build up on the turf since an unclean area can attract infestation.. Once again, it only takes a few minutes a week to maintain your pet turf.
My neighbor's turf went bad in 6 years. How many years will pet turf last?
Our engineered pet grass will last for at least 15 years. The synthetic grass is engineered to handle the everyday use and regular activity of your pets and kids. The shorter and thicker blades of pet turf specifically help the turf handle lots of traffic. Proper maintenance will increase its lifespan.
Is artificial grass cost effective?
Yes. Your initial cost may seem high, but within 3-5 years, your investment should pay off. Artificial turf diminishes lawn maintenance, water bills, time, as well as keeping your pet healthier by reducing contact with harmful toxins.
What maintenance will I have to do?
A stiff bristle broom or green rake can be uses to clean off leaves, debris, and dirt. Scoop dog poop or pic up with a disposable glove. Spray with a special turf sanitizer which can be bought from you rbig box hardware store or bought online. Hose down weekly.
How about installing artificial grass on hillsides?
It is possible to install the artificial grass on slopes or hillsides, but this depends on the degree of the slope. The installation and the kind of infill materials has to be taken into considerations as sand can wash away over time during a heavy rain.
